Gary Clark Jr. is back and groovier than ever. His second headlining performance for Austin City Limits- a televised series for artists to deliver full-length performances- proved to be a treat to those in attendance, as the Austin, Texas native performed a multi-song set complete with new material from his latest LP, The Story Of Sonny Boy Slim. The event was held at The Moody Theater in downtown Austin.
31-year-old artist, who has performed at venues across the country and has had the opportunity to perform with Beyonce, Ed Sheeran and the Foo Fighters, opened his set with the funky, blues-inspired “Grinder” and closed with the gospel-infused “Healing.”
Alongside fellow guitarist, Australia’s Courtney Barnett, Clark’s performance will air on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 8 pm CT/9 pm ET on PBS and will feature performances of “Cold Blooded,” “Our Love” and “Church.” Watch his performance of “You Saved Me” below.
