While out in Los Angeles to support his fellow rap peer Yo Gotti, Kanye West treated partygoers to new material at the Memphis artist’s album release party. The surprise happened at the well known 1OAK night club on Tuesday night (Feb 23).
As the crowd got thick, ‘Ye seized the moment to debut seven-and-a-half-minute song with a guest appearance from UK singer Sampha — and what sounds like an interpolation of Jay-Z’s “Where I’m From.”
The new track is rumored to be titled “Closest Thing to Einstein,” and addresses the recent criticisms and rumors about his mental health. Listen to the rough Youtube clip below until we receive the real thing.
“People tryna say I’m going crazy on Twitter/My friend’s best advice was to stay low”
“I can’t say no to nobody/And at this rate we gon’ both die broke”
“This generation’s closest thing to Einstein/So don’t worry about me, I’m fine”
