LeToya Luckett is back with the second part of her visual mini-series, which features her latest single “Used To.” The song, which features a bass-heavy dance beat, has Luckett’s smooth vocals on display.
“‘Used To’ is one of my favorite records because of its confident “in-your-face” lyrics,” says the singer-actress of the sultry song. “There’s nothing more attractive than a woman who’s humble, but knows what she can bring to the table.” Part one’s visual includes her song “Back 2 Life.”
In part two of the mini-series, which has amassed over 3.4 million YouTube views, we find Luckett out to eat with a date, who she’s not too convinced about. In the midst of conversation, an old flame tries to call her, and when she’s out and about, she runs into him. Try as she might, she can’t deny the chemistry they have, but of course, she’s still wondering if it’s all worth it.
“I wanted the video to possess that same quality [as the single],” Luckett continues. “It shows the “bounce back” from the disappointment of a relationship gone wrong, but it also showcases the vulnerability of a woman who allowed herself to love.”
The singer’s long-awaited album Back 2 Life will drop on May 12 and features 13 songs. It is available for iTunes pre-order beginning today. Check out the visual below.
