Quavo gave fans a taste of his cinematic side with the visual for his new solo track, “Workin Me” on Wednesday (Aug. 22). The Murda Beatz-produced track stems from the three-song solo step-out Quavo released earlier this month, following tracks “Bubblegum” and “Lamb Talk.”
Huncho enlists Saweetie (who is not featured on the track) to be his leading lady in the action-packed video as the two pursue a forbidden romance. The video begins at a mobster’s mansion, where the Migos member and his boss discuss loyalty over a game of pool. When the iced-out rapper can’t keep his eyes off Saweetie, who quickly enters the scene, the bossman lays down his final ultimatum: don’t ever go after his niece.
As expected, Quavo doesn’t follow the rules and gets him and his “ICY GRL” stuck in an extremely unfavorable situation. Directed by Quavo, Joseph DeRosiers Jr. and Edgar Esteves, the “Workin Me” video makes for a suspenseful four minutes. Check it out below.
