New Jersey is back on the map in hip-hop — much in thanks to Fetty Wap and Monty. To give fans another look at a rising area in rap, Pelle Pelle joined forces with the latter for the the brand’s latest #WhatInSeason series.
Pelle Pelle, the O.G. streetwear brand, was birthed in the streets of Detroit, but its reach expands globally. Monty,decked out in a fresh Pelle Pelle jacket– took the film crew on a journey through the sooty streets of Paterson.
“It’s that bundle up weather. It get cold up here in Jersey in the Fall time. I had plenty of cold nights. So, every time I hear Fall, I just think of like you got to kick up and work harder, and not go back to them cold nights,” Mony says in the video tour.
Monty also takes viewers down the ubiquitous MLK ave and even points out the his favorite chicken spots, and the house he used pen raps in.
Pelle Pelle was born in 1978 by Marc Buchanan and has been worn by game changers such as The Notorious B.I.G., Cam’ron, Redman, Fat Joe, among others.
