Ty Dolla $ign took home his first VMA win Sunday (Aug 28) and celebreated with the release of a new music video. He used a futuristic aesthetic in the visual for his hit single “Zaddy,” which dropped yesterday earlier this week.
The track is also featured on his upcoming project, Campaign, to be released on September 23rd. The 31-year-old shot the video on his recent trip to Japan, drawing inspiration from the sci-fi film, Ex-Machina.
The visual takes place in a futuristic Asian town — featuring a woman who the Los Angeles rapper gets intimate with throughout the video. The machine places a human face over her robotic one, setting the tone for the video using artificial intelligence. Words don’t do it justice.
Give the futuristic vibe a look below.
The “Free TC” rapper also announced his inaugural “Dollar Day” concert featuring himself and special guests. For more information regarding tickets and the event itself, check out the website here.
