Are you tired of reality TV shows? Are you tired of watching a bunch of grown-ass women argue and bicker over a bunch of petty things (see above!)? Are you tired of watching people who are famous for doing, well, “nothing” spending their lives being followed by cameras? Are you tired of all the drama that reality TV brings? Say it with us: Hell no!
You might pretend like you hate reality TV—we’ll admit: it’s not exactly the highest form of entertainment—but when it comes right down to it, you’ve got your DVR set every week for at least one reality TV show, if not more. So, with that in mind, we have to ask: What are some other reality TV shows that you’d like to see moving forward? We have a few that we’d be interested in watching—or, rather, that we think you would be interested in watching. So, we put together a list of 5 Reality TV Shows That We’d Love To See Produced Soon. If these shows were real, we bet you’d be tuned in.—Chris Yuscavage
The Working Title: Groupie Love
The Stars: Draya Michele, Candy Deep Throat, Bibi Jones
Why It Would Be Great: You want to see drama? This would be drama. All three of the ladies listed here have had high-profile relationships with professional athletes. And all three have tried to overcome their reputations to do bigger and better things with their lives. That’s not always easy, though. And this reality show would document them and show the struggles that they go through as a group as they try and pursue their dreams and prove to people that they’re more than just groupies. If nothing else, it would amount to a whole lot of drama.
The Working Title: The Big Picture
The Stars: Cameramen from a handful of major tabloids and tabloid sites, including People, TMZ, National Enquirer, and OK!
Why It Would Be Great: There’s a war going on outside no celebrity is safe from! And that “war” is the one that goes on amongst tabloid photographers everyday as they try and land shots of celebrities that will help them pay their bills. In this reality TV show, we’d follow a few different photographers to see what it’s really like to be part of the paparazzi. All we ever hear is bad things about them. This show would humanize them and, of course, show all the crap they have to take from celebrities on a regular basis these days. [Ed. note: Yes, we know that several networks have tried this approach to a reality TV show, but we need to see it done bigger and better in 2012!]
The Working Title: Crew Love
The Stars: Members of a rap entourage
Why It Would Be Great: Life is glamorous for most rappers. They drink the most expensive champagne on the menu, talk to the baddest chicks in the club, and…well, you can imagine all of the other perks that come with being a young, famous rapper. But, what it’s like to be the guy who has to book flights for Drake? Or, the guy responsible for keeping A$AP Rocky’s sneakers clean? Or, the guy who posts tweets for 50 Cent? This reality TV show would give an inside look at what actually goes on inside of a rap entourage. It’d be great to convince someone like Drizzy to allow his crew to do this. But, we think that just about any rap entourage could keep us entertained.
The Working Title: I Used To Be A Video Vixen…
The Stars: Melyssa Ford, Buffie the Body, Ki Toy Johnson
Why It Would Be Great: What happens to video vixens when rappers stop calling them to appear in their videos? The video work probably wasn’t paying all that well to begin with and they’re not traditional “models” by any stretch of the imagination, so we’d imagine that a lot of girls have a hard time capitalizing off their 15 minutes of fame. Very few of them transition to Hollywood or launch super successful careers, and most seemingly disappear off the face of the Earth once their run is up. This reality TV series would get a group of them together out in Los Angeles, force them to bond over their experiences, and then let the fireworks fly. If you want drama, this would have it.
The Working Title: Christina Milian’s Crazy Life
The Star: Christina Milian
Why It Would Be Great: We know she was the “Social Media Correspondent” for The Voice (whatever that is) this year, but what we really want to know is what else Miss Milian has been up to lately. Random? Eh, sort of. But, at the same time, she has everything that it takes to be successful on reality TV. Rocky love life? Check! Uncertainty about her career? Check! A personal life that’s filled with drama? Check! All she needs is cameras filming her every move to let us in on what’s really happening with her right now. C’mon, reality TV producers: This is a hit waiting to happen!
