A 6-month-old baby died from being left in a hot car while his father went inside a barbershop in Des Moines, Iowa last weekend.
Lance Jordan Williams Sr. reportedly left his son in the vehicle last Saturday (June 11), as temperatures climbed above a sweltering 90 degrees.
Though Williams spent an “extended period of time” in the shop, no one else knew that the the baby was in the car. He came out to find the child unresponsive and rushed him to a local hospital, where he died.
Williams, 35, was arrested the next morning on charges of child endangerment resulting in death.
He remains in the Polk County Jail on $25,000 bond, and is scheduled for court on June 22.
