A Tribe Called Quest remains one of hip hop’s most dynamic groups. The Queens natives continue to serve as a blueprint for current and future acts to come, especially with their debut masterpiece People’s Instinctive Travels And The Paths Of Rhythm.
The album turns 25 on Friday (Nov. 13), and to commemorate that momentous feat, Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, and Ali Shaheed Muhammad re-released the project for the masses. A special edition of the aforementioned album will also drop Nov. 13, which features new remixes from CeeLo Green, J. Cole and Pharrell Williams.
To remember this achievement, ATCQ will perform on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon today. This will also mark 15 years since the collective’s last television appearance.
As part of a docu-series, Mass Appeal takes viewers on a visual tour of how the group got their start to where they are now, beginning with Q-Tip’s home in Queens, New York.
