
Thursday (June 23) the Supreme Court of The United States ruled on the Fisher v. University of Texas case and found in favor of the university upholding their Affirmative Action policies. The plaintiff, Abigail Fisher, filed the suit against the university after she was denied admittance in 2008. Fisher believed that she was not admitted because of “vague” policies that admitted students based on race.
