Model and actress Kim Porter, who is the mother to three of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ children, has died.
Diddy’s rep Cindi Berger confirmed her passing on Thursday (Nov. 15) to TMZ. “Sadly, I can confirm the passing of Kim Porter,” she said. “I ask that you give the families privacy at this time.”
Porter was allegedly found after a 911 call reported “a patient in cardiac arrest.” It isn’t clear what caused Porter’s death, but the mother of four was possibly suffering from a case of pneumonia weeks prior.
Kimberly Porter was born in Columbus, Georgia and moved to Atlanta to pursue modeling after high school. Her move paid off when she began scaling the pages of Elle and Marie Claire. She also became a go-to model for brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Revlon in the ’90s. She later dived into acting with respectable roles on shows like Law & Order and Wicked Wicked as well as films like Games, The Brothers and Mama, I Want to Sing.
Kim gave birth to her eldest son actor-musician Quincy (Brown) in June 1991. Named after her mentor Quincy Jones, Porter was involved in a relationship with singer Al B. Sure! which ended in the mid-90s. She later began dating Diddy and they were together on and off for over a decade. In between, Porter had her second son, Christian Combs, in 1998 and welcomed twin daughters, Jessie James and D’Lila, in 2006.
One of her last social posts was a loving picture of her family on the day of Diddy’s 49th birthday.
