Adam Levine made good use of the First Amendment during Tuesday night’s episode of The Voice. The Maroon 5 frontman muttered, “I hate this country” under his breath during the Top 8 results show, moments before America’s votes eliminated his #TeamAdam frontrunners Judith Hill and Sarah Simmons. While the Twittersphere blew up with negative reactions to the comment, Levine took to his Twitter and made like Merriam Webster to clarify:
