The Minnesota Vikings running back will plead guilty to negligent injury charges after he admitted he “disciplined” his 4-year-old son with a switch. He was then placed on the exempt/commissioner’s permission list, but it’s unclear whether or not the 29-year-old pro-athlete will be reinstated to the team following the result of the case.
If Peterson’s plea deal is accepted by Texas Judge Kelly Case, he’ll be ordered to complete 80 hours of community service, put on probation, and must pay a $2,000 fine. If the stipulations are not accepted by the court, the trial date of Dec. 1 will still be likely, where if Peterson is found guilty he can face up to two years in prison and pay a $10,000 fine.
