Following Hunger Games star Amandla Stenberg and Kylie Jenner’s heated Instagram debate regarding cultural appropriation sparked by Jenner’s cornrowed selfie, the 16-year-old actress has spoken out about it once again.

In a mini-essay she penned and posted via TwitPic, she elaborated on the treatment of black women, and how their physical features are accepted (and praised) on white women, but not on them.

“While white women are praised for altering their bodies, plumping their lips and tanning their skin, black women are shamed although the same features exist on them naturally,” she writes. “This double standard is one string in the netting that surrounds female sexuality.”

Despite the backlash Kylie received from Stenberg and the media, Justin Bieber reportedly took to Instagram to support Jenner. “Saying she’s being racist because she wants her hair in braids is ridiculous,” he writes. Peep his full comment:
