Update: 2:23 PM ET (November 4, 2018) – VIBE reached out to the Atlanta Police Department via email for further details. We received the following information this morning:
“On Saturday November 3, shortly before 5 p.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired at a home on 610 Jewel Drive in southwest Atlanta. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 37-year-old black male lying deceased, with multiple gunshot wounds, inside an open garage at the location. Preliminary information indicates the victim had been talking in the driveway with another man, when the conversation escalated and the suspect shot the victim multiple times. The suspect sped from the scene in a car. The scene was processed and the incident is being investigated by the APD’s Homicide Unit […] No further information will be released at this time. “
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has reportedly identified the 37-year-old man as Sutton Tennyson.

Angela Simmons‘ ex-fiance, Sutton Tennyson, was reportedly shot and killed in his Atlanta home late Saturday afternoon (Nov. 3).
According to 11Alive.com, “a man was found shot to death in the garage of a home in southwest Atlanta on the 600th block of Jewel Drive SW.” Police believe Sutton “was shot after a dispute between three people.”
All those connected with the shooting have been identified and there are no suspects at large.
Mayor Michael O’Connor with Atlanta Police shared that “the house was under renovation and it’s unclear if the victim lived at the home or might have been working there.”
On April 26, 2016, Simmons took to her Instagram account to announce her engagement to her then businessman fiance. The couple welcomed their son Sutton Joseph Tennyson five months later. Simmons, 31-year-old later opened up about her decision to be a single mother on Season 4 of Growing Up Hip-Hop. The couple welcomed their now 2-year-old son Sutton Joseph Tennyson five months later. Less than a year later, Angela confirmed that she and Sutton split in an Instagram post shared in December 2017.
