August Alsina is among the tens of thousands of California residents forced to evacuate as wildfires continue to rage through the state. The “Wouldn’t Leave” singer posted a scary video on Instagram Friday (Nov. 9) of a fire burning its way through his backyard just before he evacuated the home.
“My backyard just went up in flames & it’s spreading fast,” he captioned the post along with a message thanking fire fighters for their hard work.
“I just wanna say that I’ve discovered we don’t treat our firemen royal enough, nor do we pay them enough for what they endure,” he continued. “I’m thankful for the work that you all do! Send some prayers up for the people today, it’s needed.”
Lil Pump, Kanye West and Lady Gaga were also on the list of forced evacuees along with Iggy Azalea, who tweeted that she was scared her Calabasas, Calif. home would burn down.
Iam genuinely concerned about my home burning down it’s right on the canyon in calabasas and I can’t get home to any of my things right now.
