Details are still slim surrounding the death of rising rapper Bankroll Fresh, but authorities are looking to release information to the general public on the March shooting.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Atlanta police Det. Vincent Velazquez touched on Bankroll, real name Trentavious White’s shooting during a press conference Monday (April 25) on a separate homicide investigation.
White was killed on March 4 at the Street Execs studio in northwest Atlanta. Police suspect over a dozen rounds were fired with at least one hitting the “Hot Boy” artist. He was 28-years-old.
“Right now I think something will come out later from the chief’s office on that,” Det. Velazquez said about leads in the investigation. “I think there will be something coming out later today or tomorrow. We’re not prepared to talk about that right now.” Days have gone by since the detective gave the statement, and authorities are still more than likely looking into the case. Velazquez also informed reporters the shooting that took place last week was not connected to Bankroll Fresh’s killing.
So far, there are no suspects named in the rapper’s killing and despite the large number of people around the studio when the shooting happened, no one has spoken out about it. Homeland security reportedly claim video evidence was recovered from the scene.
