A little less than a week after Atlanta rapper Bankroll Fresh was shot and killed outside a recording studio in Atlanta, many fans in the area have paid a physical tribute to the MC who is gone far too soon.
Hundreds of fans gathered at the Blue Ivory Club in downtown Atlanta on Tuesday night (Mar. 8) to pay their respects during a candlelight vigil. Friend and collaborator 2Chainz took to Instagram to urge fans in the Atlanta area to pay their respects, writing “The city luv Bank!! All these folks out there for him ..LEGEND …if u in da A join them right na.”
Hundreds more gathered outside of the Street Execs Studio where Bankroll Fresh was killed, as well as at a community meeting at the Defoor Centre on Defoor Avenue, to demand that the recording studio closes permanently. According to XXL, this is the second shooting outside of the recording studio in the past six months. Music recordings at the studio have been suspended as of now.
Police are still trying to find a suspect involved in the shooting, as well as the motive behind taking Fresh’s life on Mar. 4. Fresh was just 28 years old at the time of his death.
