Banksy tapped Run The Jewels to perform at his “bemusement park” exhibition “Dismaland” in Weston-super-Mare, England on Sept. 4. Turning beloved childhood memories such as The Little Mermaid, Cinderella on their ear, the elusive street artist references the pitfalls of society through a Disneyland parody. Leading up to the hip-hop duo’s appearance at his twisted park, Banksy interviewed Killer Mike and El-P, in a conversation put together by The Guardian.
The artist and the duo discussed whether or not they have visited theme parks, when was the last time they cried from a YouTube video (Banksy noted that their speech in Ferguson made him cry), and whether or not Kanye West deserved to be dubbed the “greatest rock star in the world.” Killer Mike offered an interesting reply to the question about West.

“Kanye is amazing and may be the greatest rock star in the world but Rihanna is the new Tupac (in feminist form), and as much as I love rock, ain’t nobody do it like Pac! Ri-Ri rules in my book,” he said.
Banksy also probed Run The Jewels about who are the bravest artists they know, and whether or not they would rather be thought of as a great artist or a nice person. El-P separated his answer to this question by noting what was important personally and publicly.
“Being known as honorable is way more important to me,” he said. “But being that my career is in the public and my personal relationships are ultimately private, I suppose, for the sake of the question, being considered a great artist publicly means a bit more than being considered a nice guy publicly.”
