Blues legend B.B. King was laid to rest Saturday (May 30), in his home-state of Mississippi. The “Lucille” artist passed away in his sleep on May 14 in Las Vegas while in a home hospice. It’s been reported that the highly-decorated musician was also battling diabetes.
Recently his daughters, Karen Williams and Patty King, stated that their father was reportedly “poisoned and that he was administered foreign substances.” They’re also seeking legal action against those in question.
King was a trailblazer in not just Blues, but influenced artists across all spectrums of the industry. King received multiple accolades including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, an armful of Grammy Awards, National Medal of Arts, and the Kennedy Center Honors.
