Last week, Cam’ron and A-Trak leaked the first single “Humphrey” off their upcoming joint EP, Federal Reserve. Within the track, Cam’ron calls out former boxing champ Bernard Hopkins.
“Dame said I’m buggin’ cause I wanna fight B-Hop,” Cam raps over the soul-sampled tune. “I said I’ll fuck him up after two months in detox.”
Well, the B-Hop inquestion found out about the diss last week and took to Twitter to address the song, “I’m hearing on Hot 97 Cam’ron made a song about fighting me? I accept the fight!!” he wrote. Hopkins later deleted the tweet but addressed the bout when TMZ caught up with him recently in D.C.
“It’d be a demo,” Hopkins said. “I don’t know, he probably got me mixed up with someone else he wants to fight.”
Last year, “The Executioner” became the oldest man at the age of 48 in recorded boxing history to win a recognized world boxing championship. Maybe, Cam should stick to just hip-hop beef.
