There’s no half stepping when it comes to Halloween in the Carter household, and for the past few years Beyonce and Jay Z have showed fans their costumes are always one for the books.
Over the weekend the Lemonade singer, Blue Ivy and Miss Tina paid homage to Salt-N-Pepa while attending a 80-90’s themed birthday party for Angie-Beyince. The Internet oohed and aaahed at the costumes, and all was well in the world. But for Halloween proper, Bey and Jay transformed themselves into the black Ken and Barbie dolls many of us wanted as children.
While Beyonce rocked a black-and-white striped bathing suit, ponytail, shades and Barbie’s trademark red lipstick, it was Hov’s wig while standing inside the “Black Collector’s Edition” Ken box that set the costume over the top. The heir to the Carter throne, Blue Ivy, was also in the mix sporting a black leather Barbie jacket being all Blue Ivy-ish and cute.
The Internet couldn’t contain itself after seeing the photo. On top of the idea being smart, the execution was also A1.
