Birdman seems to have finally broken his silence regarding the shooting of Lil Wayne’s tour bus. TMZ reports that unnamed sources from his camp are not only maintaining their own innocence, but also that Birdman had no prior knowledge of the actions of Young Thug’s road manager, James Carlton Winfrey.

According to reports, Birdman a.k.a. Bryan “Baby” Williams’ phones were only registered in his name as the court documents suggest because they were all using “company” phones. A call came from a member of Lil Wayne’s camp looking to inform him of the shooting, which was done by Winfrey, who has recently been indicted. Winfrey was reportedly harassing Wayne until he was kicked out the club.
TMZ also reports that Birdman has vowed to figure out who was behind it.
