Muhammad Ali is the world’s greatest.
Even after his death last Friday (June 4), there’s no denying his legacy will remain untouched for centuries and centuries to come. And in efforts to pay respect to the man who paved the way for many young African-American men, a group of black boys made a touching video honoring Ali.
The boys are seen sporting gloves, while reciting some of Ali’s most famous lines: “I am America. I am the part you won’t recognize. But get used to me – black, confident, cocky; my name, not yours; my religion, not yours; my goals, my own. Get used to me,” they chanted.
The video was orchestrated by the Because Of Them campaign, a platform that pushes inspiring messages from young black people about legendary iconic black figures. Watch these young men flex and spew out some good ol’ words of wisdom.
Ali lives on.
