According to NBC affiliate 11Alive, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s autopsy report has been unsealed, revealing the cause of her untimely death. The report states that drowning and drugs led to her failing health condition, which was unveiled to the public seven months after her passing.
In July 2015, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Atlanta home. The 22-year-old was immediately rushed to the hospital where she remained on life support. Medical officials said they found strains of heroin and other drug substances in her system.
Her then boyfriend Nick Gordon, who found Brown face down in a bathtub, was named as a suspect in her death, leading authorities to look into their relationship. No criminal charges have been brought against him as of yet. According to USA Today, Brown’s family alluded to the notion that Gordon had a hand in Brown’s death.
Once Brown was hospitalized, she remained in a six-month long coma before passing in a hospice center. Today (Mar. 4), marks her 23rd birthday.
