Whether she wanted to heralded this way or not, Caitlyn Jenner has become one of the biggest poster children for the LGBTQ community. Ever since her very public transition, people have been looking to Jenner left and right for both comments, questions, criticism and clarity about her trans journey.
Recently, same-sex couples overcame one of the biggest hurdles standing in their way to normal, happy lives in America: the right to legally marry in all 50 states.
However, if the same victorious scenario had happened 15-20 years ago, you wouldn’t find Cait out parading down the streets with team #LoveForAll. “At first, I was not for it,” she told Ellen DeGeneres during a recent show visit. “I’m a traditionalist.”
Jenner aligns with the more conservative views of the Republican party, but has since had a change of heart in the matter. Instead of being against same-sex marriage, she simply doesn’t mind it. “As time has gone on, I think, like a lot of people on this issue, I’ve really changed [my] thinking here,” she said. “I don’t ever want to stand in front of anybody’s happiness.”
