This holiday season, some people are giving more thanks to be alive and with loved ones than others. After this week, Carolina Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton has good reason to be throwing up those prayer hand emojis. On Tuesday (Dec. 9), Newton was involved in a two-car accident near his team’s stadium. His truck flipped over multiple times and left him with two transverse process fractures in his lower back. Fortunately for him, there were no other internal injuries and he was released from the hospital after one day. Cam is nothing short of grateful for walking away from that virtually unharmed, taking to Instagram to reflect on his blessing.
