Performing on live television for the first time since the birth of her daughter Kulture, Cardi B will take the stage alongside Bad Bunny and J Balvin to perform “I Like It” at the American Music Awards next month.
Since it’s release, “I Like It” has spent 24 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 1 in early July. When “I Like It” topped the chart, it marked several milestones for Bardi, who became the first female rapper with two No. 1 songs in Hot 100 chart history and the first female artist with multiple No. 1’s from a debut album since Lady Gaga in 2009.
Taking place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, the fan-voted awards show will also feature performances by Benny Blanco, Halsey, Khalid, Mariah Carey, Carrie Underwood, and Post Malone featuring Ty Dolla Sign. With a total of eight nods, Cardi B ties with Drake as the top-nominated AMA artists this year, including new artist of the year, favorite rap/hip-hop artist and video of the year. J Balvin is also nominated and is in the running for favorite Latin artist against Ozuna and Daddy Yankee.
Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross, winners will be decided entirely by fans, with fans being able to vote here or via Twitter. Voting will remain open up until two hours before showtime.
The AMAs will air live on ABC on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
