In the spirit of Throwback Thursday, Charles Hamilton, who rose to fame in 2008 with his single “Brooklyn Girls” has just inked a new deal with Republic Records.
While the details of his contract haven’t been made public, Hamilton is looking to make waves immediately. The 27 year old Harlem emcee performed new music at The Sayer’s Club in L.A. Wednesday evening (Feb. 18)
Hamilton also has some big things on the horizon. His newest single “New York Raining” featuring Roc Nation’s Rita Ora will premiere during the season finale of Empire.
Monte Lipman, co-founder and chief executive of Republic Records released a statement about Hamilton’s new deal and expressed major excitement about his musical future.
“Charles is back and the excitement for his return is immeasurable. The enthusiasm in the marketplace is overwhelming and we are thrilled to participate in the evolution of his career,” Lipman said.
