Charlo Greene, also known as the infamous “Fuck it, I quit” reporter who abandoned her news reporter job on live television, is in hot water with Alaska police for her marijuana club. Greene’s cannabis hub was reportedly raided by Anchorage police on Friday (Mar. 20) after authorities suspected the illegal selling of weed from Greene’s Alaska Cannabis Club.
“Police received reports of the illegal sale of marijuana and other derivatives at a location that’s been identified as the Alaska Cannabis Club on the 600 block of Gamble Street,” police wrote in a statement according to local news station KTUU.
While the state legalized the possession of marijuana back in February, it remains against the law to sell the drug. Greene previously referred to her Alaska Cannabis Club as a medical marijuana dispensary. During the raid, police confiscated marijuana, as well as impounded two vehicles.
“I saw them uproot a couple of marijuana plants. They took some bongs and pipes and phones and computers and that’s pretty much it,”Greene told her former employer KTVA. “We don’t sell any recreational marijuana, we don’t sell any medical marijuana. This is a place for card holders to come and share their own cannabis.”
The investigation is ongoing, and serves as a “good reminder” that selling marijuana is illegal in Alaska, according to police department spokeswoman Jennifer Castro.
