Former Family Matters actress Jaimee Foxworth has been granted a restraining order against her allegedly abusive boyfriend.
Foxworth, who played Judy Winslow on the ’90s television sitcom Family Matters, claims her lover Michael Shaw verbally abused and physically harmed her by dragging her through broken glass and trying to push her out of a car while she fed her son. According to the temporary restraining order, Shaw has must stay 100 yards away from the actress.
According to a rep for Foxworth, the actress is currently completing a book about her life and has written an essay for the compilation book Souls of My Young Sisters (Kensington Publishing), which will be published April 2010.
