Cyber bullying is getting more and more out of hand. Yesterday, Chrissy Teigen was the latest victim of some very aggressive thumb-thuggin’ after simply sharing her personal opinions. After the shooting in Canada this week, she tweeted her thoughts on how very differently gun violence and tragedy is depicted in America. “Active shooting in Canada, or as we call it in america, wednesday,” she said. While she intended to point out how commonplace shootings are in America, the Twitterverse (especially Canadians) took it as an insensitive jab, wreaking havoc in her mentions. Eventually she clarified her statements for her volatile timeline saying it was a “knock against America and our issues with gun control,” but not before they started piling on the death threats.
and this is where @twitter needs to step their game up. pic.twitter.com/oGmTXgEwdL

I can’t see anything through the sea of hate and anger that is now my Twitter. Seriously I can’t sift through it all.

It’s gotten to the point people don’t even see he simplicity of the original tweet and have just wanted to get shaking-mad over something

Amazing this isn’t punishable. RT “@fvvvvvvvvvvvvck I hope someone murders some you love, like your faggot husband”

Enough was enough for Chrissy, and she declared a leave of absence from Twitter.
I feel sick. Bye Twitter. Taking my talents to instagram.
