BlackBerry has been steadily trying to climb back to the top of the mountain even though that Apple reign just won’t let up. Previously, the cell phone brand brought Alicia Keys onboard as their Global Creative Director, but the two parted ways one year later. However, there might be a new celebrity swooping that could help reinvent the brand.
According to TechCrunch, BlackBerry is in talks with Drake to help push their BlackBerry Classic. The phone—which is being promoted alongside their BlackBerry Passport—has a tentative November release date.
In case you don’t remember, pre-YMCMB Aubrey Graham used to stash rhymes in his old BlackBerry, so this partnership could be perfect for him. And BB is a Canadian company? Sounds like a win-win situation if it all lines up.
