Curren$y was a special guest on N.O.R.E’s “Drink Champs” podcast, and told the host about an incident that occurred while on tour with Lil Wayne back when he was signed to Young Money.
“Let me tell you another story…so you know my mans, he’s a lean professional,” the New Orleans MC starts his story. “I’m on a bus…we was playin’ pick-up basketball outside…” After working up a sweat, Curren$y hopped on the tour bus and saw a six-pack of Hawaiian Punch. Eager to quench his thirst, he drank what he thought was “harmless purple Hawaiian Punch.” Little did he know, Weezy did what Weezy does and spiked the drinks with his lean concoction.
“He [Wayne] came on the bus and was like, ‘Oh Lord…'” he recalled. “‘Spitta, you probably about to die…'”
After releasing what he did, Curren$y said he didn’t panic. They watched the movie Hostel, and he fell asleep. When he woke up, he was in Miami alone on the bus because everybody thought he was a goner.
“I slept from New Orleans to Miami, and the bus driver and everybody left the bus, I’m just on that b**ch still sleep.”
