Rapper Cyko of Lost Key Records is going above and beyond for the release of his forthcoming body of work, and Rich Homie Quan believes it’s going to be major. On Sept 29, the West Palm Beach emcee took over the House Of Stoli at Rec Room Studios in North Miami to give his team and fans an exclusive break-down of his new mixtape I’m Just Different, which holds his summer single “So Much Money” featuring Rich Homie Quan. Rich Homie, who’s a former member of Birdman’s Rich Gang, has accepted Cyko into his close circle of trustworthy confidants.
“It’s deeper than music,” Rich Homie said with Cyko nearby. “He came to the studio, and I heard the song. I love the song. Ever since, we’ve been doing interviews together, and a lot of other stuff together. Also, we’ve been around each other so much that we’ve built a relationship. I think that’s more important than anything. So it’s bigger than the music.”
During the event, the Vision Booth allowed guests to feel like a celebrity while DJ Khaled’s beloved personal Chef Dee served up delectable treats courtesy of Empty Plates Catering as well as tasty treats from The Cupcake Galleria. After Rich Homie arrived to the scene with his entourage, Cyko premiered the official video for “So Much Money” inside the studio and outside on a white truck. Meanwhile, the Stoli vodka generously from the open bar as tunes provided by 103.5 The Beat’s DJ Ivory P and DJ Epps filled the wide-open room, which was jam-packed with numerous special guests like rapper and REGIME magazine owner King Buckley and We The Best’s Steph Lecor.

Cyko, who alleged got his name by “going bonkers in the studio,” explained to VIBE that he originally intended the “Flex” rapper to appear on another song, but Quan couldn’t get his mind off of “So Much Money.” Rich Homie is a fan of few songs on Cyko’s new mixtape like “European Swag.” However, they both knew that their single would be “the one.”
“Rich Homie had the record,” said Cyko. “He was already f*cking with the record. Once he got in the studio, I played another record for him, and was like ‘Quan I need you on this.’ but he said ‘Nope. I need to get on that ‘So Much Money.’ That’s the one.’”
It’s evident that Rich Homie Quan plans to keep his partnership with Cyko alive in the 4th quarter. Once the listening session came to an end, Cyko and Rich Homie Quan moved their party to Downtown Ft Lauderdale where they performed their new single for the first time in South Florida at EURO.
I’m Just Different is set to hold 17 brand new tracks with special appearances from Freebandz/Epic Records rapper Zoey Dollaz, AiStayFly, and of course Rich Homie Quan. With a majority of the beats crafted by Cyko himself, DunDeal, Teck and more lend a hand in the production. Cyko’s latest project I’m Just Different is expected to drop before the end of 2016.
