After 16 months since her public split from Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore is finally getting her own divorce papers.
The 50-year-old actress opted out of a confidential settlement with her ex-husband after stalled negotiations.
“Ashton made a lot of money after marrying Demi — a lot more than she made — but despite him becoming just as famous through her, he believes he doesn’t owe her that much,” the source told the New York Post‘s Page Six. “She has had enough.”
The source adds that Kutcher — who is now with former That 70’s Show co-star Mila Kunis — hasn’t been cooperative either. “Ashton has been very difficult during the talks,” the insider said. “You could even say he has been hostile.”
Kutcher raked in $24 million last year as the highest-paid actor in TV for his starring role in CBS’ Two And A Half Men. Should both their lawyers fail to reach a settlement, the source says the divorce could go into “litigation and trial.”
Moore and Kutcher announced the end of their their six-year marriage in 2011.
