Denzel Washington dropped by The Queen Latifah Show this week to chat with the rapper/actress/host about his new film, The Equalizer. During their sit-down, the Oscar-winning actor also revealed some of his little-known ties to the hip-hop stories. Starting off with a story of his friendship with Ludacris’ dad, Washington shared with Queen Latifah that two were old friends who once won a talent show together. The film star then offered his best Jay Z impression during an anecdote about the time Mr. Carter played “Change Clothes” for him in the studio. “But I did give Jigga a few lines, I gave him a couple of things. I was in the studio with Lenny Kravitz and he was doing something with Jay Z. You know how he talks, ‘Yeah D, I’m gonna put this on for you, just tell me what you think.” Getting Hov’s signature laugh almost spot-on, Washington expressed his approval for the song by asking him to run it back. Peep Denzel Washington’s Jay Z impression above. The Equalizer is in theaters now.
