The 2012 NBA Draft is gearing up to be epic! After recent reports of Dwight Howard waiving his termination option and staying with the Orlando Magic, it’s now being reported that LA Lakers vet Derek Fisher is being traded to the Houston Rockets in exchange for forward Jordan Hill, as being reported by Yahoo! Sports.
Fisher was considered “expendable” after the Lakers acquired Cleveland Cavaliers guard Ramon Sessions for Jason Kapono. The Lakers also are predicted to save $3.4 million (Fisher’s salary) and a few million more in luxury tax savings. The Rockets also will receive the 2012 first-round pick the Lakers acquired from the Dallas Mavericks in the Lamar Odom trade.
