TMZ reported last week (April 3rd) that Chris Brown was boarding what was to be a long flight to his hearing in Washington, D.C. which was scheduled to take place today, but the singer as of last night has yet to arrive.
The U.S. Marshal guarded airplane took off with no plans of a non-stop flight, with the flight going through Oklahoma and making multiple stops along the way to pick up other prisoners.
Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, was moving to dismiss all charges from Brown’s assault case on the grounds that he believes prosecutors inappropriately used the grand jury to gain an unfair advantage in the case.
If Geragos was unable to prove his case, Brown would sit in a D.C. jail cell until his April 17th trial date for the fight that took place outside of the W Hotel back in October. Currently, it’s up in the air if Brown made it to the hearing, but if not, looks like the singer will be waiting behind bars for the next week.
