According to TMZ, A&E has pulled the plug on the long running series after the two parties failed to reach negotiations for season 9.
The long-standing series spotlighted Duane “Dog” Chapman and his team of bounty hunter friends and family members. The show, which debuted in 2004, took a short hiatus in 2007 after Dog made a racial slur on air only for production to continue in 2008.
As if the Chapman family didn’t have enough problems, The Chapman family has tried to reconcile the past year. Recently, Dog and his wife Beth have received death threats via e-mail allegedly targeting the couple and their three daughters. They appeared on the “Today” Show to say that the FBI is now involved.
So far, no comment from A&E.
