As a makeup artist a common question I’m asked is ‘What’s my skin type?’ Stress, diet, and lifestyle play large factors in the condition of your skin, but using the right products correctly will help create a healthier skin. So how do you determine what category you best fit in?
Normal Skin will be soft and smooth with small to invisible pores. Normal skin has a healthy fresh glow that generally remains blemish free.
Dry or dehydrated Skin usually feels tight and uncomfortable especially after cleansing. Dry skin usually feels like you have to reapply moisturizer through out the day and your makeup may not last all day. Your skin becomes rough, cracks and flakes especially in low humidity or cold climates. People with dry skin may notice more fine lines around your eyes, forehead, mouth and neck.
Oily Skin finds it hard to control unwanted shine, consistently experience spots and blemishes, and have enlarged pores that often become clogged resulting in whiteheads, blackheads, pustules, papules, cystic acne under the skin, bumps that never go away.
