Merging the worlds of hip-hop and EDM, Brooklyn-base indie record label Fool’s Gold has made its mark in the realms of music, fashion and parties. Since 2007, founders and DJs A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs have been dropping the dopest release parties and A-list events each year, giving creation to such iconic moments as Drake stopping by the FG Holiday Party to wish everyone a happy hannukah, and Kanye West premiering his new music at the label’s anniversary bash.
Now with their five year anniversary coming up, you know just any old Manhattan nightclub won’t do for these two party animals. No, for the fifth annual FG birthday they’re taking the party back home to where it all began with a showcase event held at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Hosted by Converse Rubber Tracks Live as party of their ongoing series of free concerts, the b-day celebration will feature performances from A-Trak, Flosstradamus, Nick Catchdubs, Donnis, World’s Fair, and Troy Ave, as well as those who have recorded at the Converse Rubber Tracks studio. And it ain’t a FG party without rap iconoclast Ghostface Killah, who will be headlining the event and making this yet another can’t-miss night out with music’s golden boys. Again, did we mention it was FREE? Space is limited, so it’s first come first serve. We’ll see you there…if you make it to the door in time 😉
