Since appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday (Aug. 9), Kanye West has called out multiple media outlets for posting “click bait” news articles about his time on the late-night talk show.
“I’m reading that I was stumped by a question” West tweeted, referring to his particularly quiet reaction to a question pertaining to his political views. “Let me clarify the click bait. I wasn’t stumped. I wasn’t given a chance to answer the question.”
Kimmel asked West about his surprising outburst during Hurricane Katrina’s telethon. “You’ve so famously and so powerfully said George Bush doesn’t care about black people,” Kimmel stated. “It makes me wonder, what makes you think that Donald Trump does … or any people at all?”
Cameras then cut to the Ye rapper who silently sat cross-armed before taking a commercial break. When the program returned, Kimmel moved on to a separate question, leaving watchers without a proper response.
“The question was so important I took time to think,” West clarified. “And then I was hit with the let’s go to commercial break. That interview showed strong personalities with different opinions having a civil conversation.”
While West’s statements hold true, they remain ambiguous and fail to provide fans with a valid response. “We’re still waiting for your answer,” G-Eazy pointed out in a tweet that has since garnered 25,000 likes. “The floor is yours.”

Despite hip-hop’s numerous attempts to change his mind, West has remained infamously adamant in supporting Trump’s presidency. In July, West’s wife Kim Kardashian revealed that he “is not political” and admires Trump’s personality over his policies.
Nevertheless, we still want answers.
