1) When it comes to the NBA Draft, #1 doesn’t always mean #1.
Just because you land the #1 pick in the NBA Draft doesn’t mean you’re getting the best ballplayer (or the one that’ll make the most money). Ask Suzie from VH1’s Basketball Wives, who was once married to Michael Olowokandi, the No. 1 pick in the 1998 NBA Draft. This is one of those rare times in life when finishing second might actually be a good thing. Word to Kevin Durant.
2) The highest paid players from the 2010 NBA Draft aren’t going to be playing in Los Angeles. Or New York. Or Miami. Or anywhere you’d probably want to live!
The first ten players selected in the 2010 NBA Draft will be playing in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New Jersey, Minnesota, Sacramento, Oakland, Detroit, L.A. (for the Clippers!), Utah and Indiana. Choose your destination wisely.
