While many people slept in preparation for another day of last minute Christmas shopping, Rihanna, Travis Scott, and Ty Dolla $ign were caught in the middle of some scary club mayhem. According to reports, the three musicians were partying at a Los Angeles club on Wednesday night (Dec. 23), when a group of men began arguing outside. Moments later, one of them pulled out a gun and fired one shot.
Though nobody was hurt, chaos quickly ensued as the police cuffed five men and forced club patrons out of the establishment while they investigated the scene. Eventually, the cuffed men were let go and cameras caught Rih and Scott exiting the building.
Immediately after their feet hit the pavement, the duo was bombarded with a variety of questions from the paparazzi who especially wanted to know about the release of the Bajan beauty’s long-awaited eighth studio album, Anti.
Yesterday (Dec. 23), the “Today Show Australia” tweeted that the singer would be releasing the project on Christmas Day as part of an “extra special” present for her fans. The tweet, which has since been deleted, sparked rumors throughout the Twitterverse and beyond, as many wondered if the album is actually scheduled to make its debut on the sacred holiday.
Unfortunately, fans will have to wonder a little longer because the 27-year-old artist said nothing when asked about her album’s release date. Though Anti‘s arrival is still unknown, a sixth clip has been uploaded to the singer’s ANTIdiaRy campaign, which shows Rihanna coming face-to-face with herself.
Hopefully this is a sign that the project is coming sooner than we think.
