We introduced you to Halley Hiatt last March, but now, the soulful vocalist is back with her awaited Retrograde EP. Making its premiere on VIBE.com today (March 24), Halley infuses the best elements from R&B, Soul and hip-hop for a unique gumbo of sound all her own.

“Retrograde is about the making of the EP,” says Hiatt. “I found you can want something so much but you have to trust that everything is happening the way it’s supposed to. I’ve been trying to make this EP for a while now (years) but if I had rushed even 1 part of it, it wouldn’t have turned out the way it did. It felt like forever but looking back I’m thankful for the process.”
