The Grammy Award-winning beatsmith revealed to Miss Info that he was no longer signed to Yeezy’s Def Jam imprint G.O.O.D. Music. “I got nothing but respect for Kanye, [but] I’m no longer a part of G.O.O.D. Music anymore,” he said.
The split marks the most recent exit from the G.O.O.D. camp after Kid CuDi left the label in April. “I’m no longer on G.O.O.D. Music,” Scott Mescudi said in an interview with Power 106. “He’s trying to start his own new path, and trying new things as an artist. And he was just like ‘Man, I feel you. It’s cool.”
Hit-Boy says there is no bad blood between him and the Yeezus MC either; his contract had simply expired. Now, the focus is on his own Interscope-signed collective. “HS87 is where my heart is, that’s what I’m reppin’,” he says.
Hit’s latest effort with the Hits Since 87 crew titled All I’ve Ever Dreamed Of dropped in March.
