Rae Sremmurd, the popular rap duo out of Atlanta, has been called out by Hot 97’s Ebro Darden. The popular talking head accused the brothers of having producer Mike WiLL-Made It ghost write for them on their 2015 debut Sremmlife.
The album, a collection of club bangers from start to finish, garnered national recognition for being one of the best hip-hop projects of 2015.
In their new Fader cover story, Swae Lee shut down the allegations fast by telling Darden “If you want to know who wrote my s–t, go to my album credits.”
Mike WiLL-Made It defends the brothers by claiming he only touched production on the album.

The feud continued into 2016 when Darden continued his ghost writing claims when he questioned Swae Lee receiving writing credits on Beyoncé’s Lemonade. Lee recounted how he ended up writing the hook for “Formation” and how star struck he was meeting her for the first time.
“I come in the studio and she’s just like, a goddess or something. Just sitting there. This good aura,” Lee said.
Rae Sremmurd’s manager Migo said what it may come down to is that Darden just doesn’t like Rae Sremmurd’s style of music. The radio host is 41 years old and grew up listening to a completely different style of rap music: all rhymes and barely any synths. So it is understandable if he doesn’t vibe with Sremmlife sonically.
Whether it is the age gap or something else, if Darden isn’t careful he could wind up on a diss track from the duos new album: Sremmlife 2, which is set to drop at the end of this month.
