While some of the biggest names in music, film and fashion all descended in New York for the 2015 Met Gala, one man made headlines, but not in the way you’d assume.
According to social media, the above photo of the gentlemen was identified as Jason Derulo, who from the picture, appears to have taken one of the biggest L’s in the history of life.
As Derulo’s name began to trend, and the rumor picked up more steam, the good folks over at Zimbio did some digging and uncovered that not only is the man in the photo not Derulo, but the photo wasn’t even taken at this year’s Met Gala, but at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival where back homeboy earned the name ‘Cannes Fall Guy.’
But back to Derulo. The “Talk Dirty” singer got word he allegedly had taken an epic tumble at the event, (despite not being invited or even being in New York) and took to Instagram to clear up any rumors.
There are a few lessons that need to be learned here, boys and girl.
A) Don’t believe everything you read on social media and
B) Don’t be this guy. Whatever you do, don’t be ‘Cannes Fall Guy’
