The Justice League NYC is preparing for a monumental event later this month. On April 13, members and supporters of the organization will engage in a “March 2 Justice” calling where participators will walk 250 miles to deliver The Justice Package to Congress.
Part of their messages states, “we march for all the lives lost to police violence, we march to end racial profiling, to demilitarize our police forces, and to demand meaningful investment in our youth and communities.” Eric Garner’s passing at the hands of the NYPD, to Antonio Robinson’s death due to police brutality in Wisconsin signifies this organization’s event’s importance and relevance.
Gaining insight and leadership from civil rights activist Harry Belafonte and George Gresham, President of 1199SEIU, elected officials will also join in on the support for justice and equality.
